Downhill Skiing intervals 3:00:00 [1]

Second day of skiing fun. Conditions were a bit better today - less windy and icy. Mo and I raced down Big Bunny - I won. Fat floats! Er, gets me downhill faster....
Also had an altercation with a rather traditional skier guy. Allegedly I "cut him off" and "rooster-tailed" snow in his face (not intentionally, but due to a mis-communication with Mo as to which lift we were going to next, I think this series of events was fairly accurate (I wasn't looking behind me)). Anyway, I'm sure he appreciated the whitewash since he got up in my face and ran his skis onto mine while we were getting in line at the chair lift. It was an ugly scene. Despite an apology, apparently I'm an idiot and need to learn the rules of the road.

Skiing at Lutsen w/Mo and her fam. Total time around 5 hours, but only 3 likely log-worthy.
Conditions were pretty icy at the start, but got better as the day went on.

OTNT run w/Mo, T-Pain, K-Dog, Dr. Drei, Will.i.am, and The Petes to Cedar, Brownie, and Theo. Added an extra 2k or so along the bike trail and northern Calhoun. Couple of 2-300m intervals (3) to get the HR going.

Soccer race 50:00 [4]

Subbed on bro Shawn's soccer team for a match. We were down 0-2 at half and came back for the tie (2-2) with a last second goal. Woohoo!
I got kicked in the thigh, shin, and my foot got stepped on... Rough game, not because the other team was chippy, just a step behind. I think this is the norm for most older coed rec leagues - not many people seem to play with "finesse."

"Paddled" the Minnehaha Creek w/Tom. Tried to put in at Gray's Bay Dam, but the marsh and wide channel was completely covered in ice.... This seemed to be the story of the day, as our "Shackleton" expedition crawled its way down the creek, switching from paddling the narrow/rocky fast moving water sections, paddling in the flooded grass areas along the side of the creek, or pulling our boat over the ice through the wide marshes. A good day on the river with a few picturesque moments.

Trekking 1:00:00 [1] 1.5 mi (40:00 / mi)

Couldn't log all of our time as paddling due to the stretches of boat pulling we were forced to complete. Shackleton would be proud. Tom and I were forced to eat carp sushi to survive and I had my way with a bull elk - I have proof. Also, Tom peed on his gloves to warm his fingers.... I may have forgotten to mention in the previous sentence that they were my gloves.
Thanks to the K-Mo pick up crew that saved us from the horrors of running the dreaded Minnehaha Falls (15 miles further downstream).
