mountain bike 1:57:13 [3] 31.23 km (3:45 / km)
Thought I would bike a section of the upcoming "Puppy Pedal" route (this Sunday). Almost did the entire thing except that I didn't do all of Southwood road to the Barrens and I may have cut the road section at the beginning a bit shorter by biking the Atv trail just past Peninsula rd.
It's a nice route with some paved road (Muldrew lake rd & Southwood rd.),some gravel road (north Muldrew lake rd & part of the trail), some atv trail which is mostly hardpacked & canadian shield rock with a bit of mud (Old Stone Road Trail). Ofcourse the Torrance Barrens will add a great section of biking the Shield.
Old Stone Road Trail was in great shape. Just a few muddy sections which mostly had a single track going around them. With one exception where I had to bike wack (will need bug dope on Sunday).
Put my bearbell on the bike on the trail section knowing that it would just be me and the bears. Then I got thinking" Does it really work or is it more like ringing a dinner bell?"
