hiking 2:20:00 [3] 8.0 km (17:30 / km)

After laying low all week with that gastro bug I finally got outside and enjoyed the woods. Sandi and I hiked the big loop at Hardy lake. Little cooler than I expected but a nice sunny morning none-the-less. Lost the trail in a few sections so it took a little longer than average.

Note

Unfortunately a gastrointestinal bug has invaded our home so I'm not feeling too well today. Luckily, I'm much better than Larry who spent about 6 hours vomiting the other night and sleeping most of yesterday.
So the best I will manage for a workout today is to walk uptown to run some errands.

Looks like a nice sunny day today!

hiking 30:00 [2]

Errands in town. Starting to feel better.

Note

Very excited about the new Yakima rack that Larry put on the car. It has an extendable bar on which you can rest one end of the kayak. Then just lift the rear end on the vehicle and then place the front on the cradle. Now I can load the kayak on myself and leave the box trailer at home. Yippee!!

mountain bike 1:16:43 [3] 24.23 km (3:10 / km)

A terrific ride on a cold (3 degrees), miserable, rainy day.

Biked Muldrew lake road to the bridge (it's actually Muldrew lake rd and Pinetree rd), and picked up North Muldrew lake road on the way back. This road is a single car width wide, hard packed (for the most part) gently rolling cottage road. Didn't know where it would come out and was surprised to find it meets up with the Old Stone road trail where it crosses the marsh. Got off my bike to check out a small water fall just prior to the marsh.

I had my layers just right for this crazy weather except that I could use a pair of pants with some windstopper material. (I'll add it to my list)

Had a great cup of soup and grilled cheese when I got home. Decided that already halfway through my adventure.
