Well, it's the day before the Snow Shoe Raid and my body has disappointed me. I think it started last Sunday... I had done a spin class on Friday night and maybe had the gears a little high compared to what I'm used to. So that got the muscles pretty tight. Then Saturday's snowshoe in the meter deep snow... Anyway, Sunday when I bent down to pick something up, I felt a twinge in my back, lower left side.
Now, I'm back to the familiar glute/hip/groin pain that plagued me the last couple of years. It's not too extreme but it hurts to sit and lie down. Walking and standing gives relief.
Hopefully after the race tomorrow and I can rest for a week or so and it will heal. Fingers crossed.
