Last day at the cottage. Feeling pretty tired after a restless night of sore legs. Decided I would not be biking the 60K with the Hammerheads. Two others stayed behind and did an easier 38 with me. Just to get the kinks out.

When I woke up this morning I was sure I couldn't ride. Felt like I had been hit by a truck! Extremely tired and sore. That's when they made the announcement that we were doing 100K today.So I did some yoga, stetched and stretched some more. Took some advil and took a big breath...

Turned out it was a wonderful day. Some poeple were great team players and pulled in front to let us draft when things got tough. Stopped for lunch at about 70K when most of the hills were behind us.

The group split in two today with our group doing the shorter ride. Great day. Fought off a few dogs and had a nice lunch at about 42 K in. Good thing we had sunscreen.

Extremely windy ride today. Good thing I was clipped in or I might have lost my bike in the wind.

Crashed! Nothing too serious but it was the end of my ride today. At first it looked like I had dislocated my elbow, but luckily it was just a giant goose egg.

And this, our first day at the cottage in South Carolina.

Blue Ridge Parkway. Great ride with plenty of climbing. At first I thought my legs weren't up for the ride because I did not realize that we were climbing, and yet, my legs were complaining. Very deceiving.
After the ride we hiked to some waterfalls and enjoyed a great meal at the top.
