running (trail) 35:00 [3] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)

The Warrior Dash in Horseshoe Valley. Guessing at the time but it wasn't that serious. Lots of obstacles and lots of fun!. Lost my shoes twice in the mud pits so ended up carrying them and running 4 1/2 K in my socks, which felt surprisingly good. Must try barefoot running!

My legs were quite sore the morning before the event so I was quite surprised how good it felt to run, especially uphill, which is not usually my forte.

So great to see all the costumes and sooo many people having such a good time.

road biking 4:26:53 [3] 101.64 km (2:38 / km)

With BirdyBird to Washago via Houseys Rapids and Coopers Falls . Stopped in Washago for lunch. Then back through Barkway to Gravenhurst Parkway which we had to bike to get the mileage to reach 100K.

Bert did very well. He wasn't sure he was up to it but I had faith in him. Perfect day for a long ride!

road biking 19:37 [5] 9.71 km (2:01 / km)

Time Trial #2

Felt much slower than last time so I was feeling a little bummed during the ride. Except the big hill, my speed was faster there. While climbing, I watched it dip, but then I started pulling and brought it up from 15.9 to 17.2

It was definitely better weather and warmer than last time. I was VERY happy to see I beat last's week's time by 16 seconds!

paddling 2:00:00 [3]

Kayaking with Emily.

Started out from the beach at Bass Lake. Took the little river to Kashe, There was a big Blue Heron perched on a big erratic who wasn't scared of us at all. Took some pictures (too bad I still don't know how to post them to AP).

We paddled to the big look out rock on Kashe, tied up and scrambled to the top to watch the boats go by.

So glad I finally got out in the kayak. After last's years goal of fifty lakes, it's surprising how little I've paddled this year. I really miss it. New goal: to paddle with Emily once a week.

mountain bike 1:47:07 [3] 26.45 km (4:03 / km)

One of my favourite rides:

From home to the Old Stone rd trail off Muldrew Lake rd. Took the trail right to Southwood rd. Planned to have a rest before heading back but the deer flies were too thick. We each had our own little cloud. Bugs spray next time! Such a great trail! Some water, mud, river rock and shield. Love it!

Plan to ride it Sunday and pick up the Torrance Barrens as well
