Sunday Jun 15

Cycling (LaketoLake Classic) 3:04:00 [3]
Raced the LaketoLake 50km Classic from Port Colbourne to Port Dalousie. Good training day. Not much of a MTB racer since there are way too many hardcore people in my age category. Took it at a good moderate pace, the course was made up of mostly gravel and single track sections - Very muddy in the single track, clogged up the bike real good! Finished 534 out of 1033 people and 91 out of 135 in my age group.

Thursday Jun 12

Orienteering 1:05:00 [1]
Recovery orienteering run at the Summer Score series in Guelph. Taught some friends about orienteering. Nice terrian in Starkey Hills.

Saturday Jun 7

Adventure Race (Milton Emergency Service) 4:44:00 [4]
The ESAR was a great time. Intensity varied from a consistant 4 to 5. Lots of running and biking on the course with a small paddle and a nice rappel off of the escarpment at Kelso CA. Ended up 5th overall out of 44 teams and placed 2nd in our division (co-ed team). Besides a cramp near the end in the calves the race went smoothly at a good pace.

Friday Jun 6

Cycling 30:00 [2]
Light bike ride to test out new tires i put on my bike. Bontranger Super X tires - pretty fast on pavement and hardpack dirt. Much better than the stock that came with my bike.

Wednesday Jun 4

Orienteering 30:00 [1]
GCG Orienteering session turned into a light run. Found the terrain very difficult to interpret with contours only...due to area. Definate improvement still needed in this area.

Tuesday Jun 3

Paddling 1:00:00 [2]
Mostly technique paddling with some intervals

Monday Jun 2

Weights 45:00 [2]
AM - Core and Strengthening
Cycling 30:00 [2]

Sunday Jun 1

Adventure Race (Wildwood Triathlon) 2:10:00 [5]
Wildwood Triathlon in Stratford. Finished in 2hrs10mins and change. Ended up 8th in the mens solo category. 5th to the 8th spot was tight. First half of the paddle section took a while to warm up to and the running section i was a bit sluggish since the transition from bike to run was fast and the legs were rubbery. Overall happy with the performance considering its a first. Good warm up to my Adventure Race this Saturday.
