Wednesday Jul 28

Running 30:00 [2]
Gravel roads BDB. Pooched as hell, i think the field work is wearing me down. Melhammer is working me like a pig.

Monday Jul 26

Running 35:00 [3]
Gravel Roads BDB. Felt good, but tired.

Saturday Jul 24

Running 1:00:00 [3]
Long run on Gravel before diurnal. Probably will hurt me later in the nite.

Sunday Jul 18

Running 40:00 [2]
Gravel roads in St Arsene.

Saturday Jul 17

Running 35:00 [3]
Ran a fast pace with Maria @ SCB. Damn its pretty hot out this morning, sweating like a mofo!! Fun run, but body still hurting, beers last nite didn't help.

Wednesday Jul 14

Orienteering 50:00 [2]
SOS orienteering series. Pace was good, felt fairly well but can tell the body is bit tired still. Spiked 14 of 15 controls, skipped one since i didn't want to thrash thru the bush - arms are scratched enough from the weekend.

Tuesday Jul 13

Note
Still feeling overly tired, hamstrings aren't hurting as bad as yesterday. Saving my strength for orienteering tomorrow nite. Been really hot and humid, so better recoup than start training again...body needs some down time after the weekend. Can't wait to get back to Quebec where the weather is at least cooler.

Saturday Jul 10

Adventure Race 13:12:00 [3]
Port Elgin Enduroxtreme Adventure Race. Teamed up with Tim and Kristen for the first Follow the Leader race of the season. A pretty demanding course due to the length of the race. Long paddling and Biking sections and the orienteering was sub-par at best. Probably the worst orienteering sections i have ever done in any race, considering many teams were lost in the woods. Came out of the paddle in 5th into the 2nd orienteering section where the first CP was misplaced! Also the descriptions and UTMs were off in many cases but officals plead that teams should have used the trail maps posted on the signs...dropped down to 12th at this point. Surprisingly, heading out on the bike we were the 3rd team overall and 1st co-ed. Pushed real hard and i BONKED considerably the last few hours. Thanks to the rest of the team, they pulled me together. We kept the standing BUT ARC has to review all the mishaps that occurred so who knows what the hell the results will be. If our team gets ripped off of the victory i will be livid beyond belief, this will probably be the only time to claim Co-ed victory since the elite teams were doing RTN! Overall fine team performance, about ARC, well they screwed this one up big time and i'm pissed at their shitty course design. I have numerous beefs with them.

Wednesday Jul 7

Cycling 30:00 [2]
Long easy commute to work. Wanted to loosen the legs for the weekend.
Cycling 20:00 [3]
Harder ride home. The hills were hurting me a bit and the hike up the stairs were killing the calves.

Sunday Jul 4

Note
Resting up today. Feel real tired for some reason, think i need more sleep and some rest. Really humid out today as well, so best be chill'in for the day

Saturday Jul 3

Cycling 2:30:00 [3]
~2hr MTB with the Hammer. 30min warm-up before heading out this morn in the neighbourhood. Good variety of trails in the valley, first real ride out there. Good moderate pace with a few tougher climbs and rolly hills. Good training day, have to train more with the Hammer. Going to veg. for the rest of the day and watch the Tour.

Friday Jul 2

Cycling 30:00 [3]
Commute to-and-from work. I'll give intensity of 3 due to the hike-a-bike up the escarpment, legs feel tired, probably from a lot of up and down climbing over the past few days. Going to take it easy starting next week to rest up for the race. Haven't put a lot of time in, but have been quailty workouts.

Thursday Jul 1

Cycling 2:00:00 [3]
MTB in Durham Forest. Thumb feels ok but not 100%, don't think i'll be that come next weekend. At least i can still bike which i was scared of. Good amount of single track, and double track biking. Nothing overly technical but still had to hike-a-bike a bunch of hills.
