Hiking 2:00:00 [3]
Mt. Rundel Attempt with Strackersons. Crazy hike. This bad ass is a slogging up a mountain for sure. Once you start the ascent it is a just a pure drag your ass up the mountain with no real reprieve. Basically made it up close to half the Dragon's Backs (3/4 of the hike ~2300-2500m) before deciding to pack it in. Started to rain and hail off and on plus the high wind factor was pretty strong today. We were pondering whether it was worth it for a summit attempt and despite my real wanting to do it (would have been doable) concensus was to head back down. Considering I think it was the Strackerson's first bagging trip i think it was a good call. No accident policy in effect. R&C stop per usual however Rundel was laughing at us. I'll be back to get you, that i promise;) Nev, definately need those poles back, going to be hurting tomorrow!

Hope to make it out for some dragon boat races tomorrow but the weather is looking mighty sketchy for riding out on the bicyclette. 10C and rainy. Fall has started early here lately.

Note
Still feeling not 100%. Hope next week brings better days. Definately tired today but considering its probably reasonable. Some tummy troubles still.

Cycling 40:00 [2]
Note
Been a bit sick the past couple of days. Not sure what it is but was totally fatigued the past 2 days. Felt off during the hike so probably was coming down with something. 12hrs of sleep last night seemed to help. Going to keep it very light the rest of the week with cycling and just go on how i feel.

Monday Aug 20

Note
BSR 4:5. Almost a perfect ratio. I think the late evening Americano won over my efforts to dull the effects with beer. Horrible sleep, was up in the middle of the nite and now wanting to go back to sleep.

Hiking 1:00:00 [1]
Lillian Lake/Galatea Lakes hike with Mick, LJ, and Clarke. Probably around 3.5hrs of total hiking time. Galatea Lake was impressively gorgeous due to the cool blue colour. Worth the walk up to see it.

Pither and Nicki ran Ribbon Creek and met up with me after for some farewell celebratory drinks and food for the Manitoba bound boy. Crazy stories of thier back country adventures which held a captive audience all night.
