| Felt tired to bike this morning so decided to run home today instead. Legs pretty heavy and the added weight of the pack didn't help. | ||

Another work related FCA field day. Down in the Cataract Creek area on Cat Creek knocking off 2-sites. Can't recall the name of the Cirque right now but was a brilliant side trip for fun scrambling up the side of it. Bear central - tracks and crap. T-dub let me lead all the way on the bike sections. Thanks kiddo, glad to know I'm the bait.
Stupid branch that I impaled myself on. Bleeding like a mofo from the top of my head. Took out a big piece of my scalp. Great start to the day.
The final destination after the first side trip to another site
Autumns here!
Tree hugging a Larch
Skipped the trail and took the direct route to the Cirque by scrambling
Cirque! A really pretty one too. Have to stitch the the rest together to get the full scale.
The T-dub. All her work but I get to play with her when they let me out of the office. Sweet job.
Another tough day at the office. Actually it was, but worth the views from the cirque with the added few hundred meters more of climb from the last FCA site down below.

| On the way down we saw these kids with a golf club going up Rundle. I asked what they were doing and they told me to youtube this. This video is on Rundle, I laughed when told me the story and they wanted to try it. The video is classic.

Mt. Rundle. Last year got rained/snow on so didn't summit and the Strackersons wanted to knock this one off this year. Getting late in the year because the recent snow might be a little dodgy. Anyway M&D made it up to the Dragon's Back before the fear of heights got the best of D. They told me to push through and I did (felt bad though cause they couldn't join me). Really sketchy though getting to the true summit in the snow and coming back down in it. One wrong move and you would have been gonzo!
Rundle from the Trans Canada. You climb the nub on the left from the backside near Banff Springs and the golf course.
On the Dragon's Back climbing up the snow
Poor FCA site at a 45 degree angle. Did a little bit of work for the climate crew. Sick bastard whomever set that one up.
Towards the true summit with Mike a guy I met going up by myself. Freaked him out when I was downloading data on a Palm from the monitoring station. Who carries a PDA up a mountain? Helped me out which was cool. I admit I was freaked getting up to it. The snow was pretty slippery and you had to do a bit of scrambling. Rode my ass down on the way back.
At the top with Cascade in the background.
