bike race (varied terrain) 2:02:00 [3] 25.3 mi (4:49 / mi)

The bike route was a little shorter and easier this year, but still a combo of single track, paved bike trail, and forest roads. My time including the transition from the canoe was about 2:07. Fastest women's time was 1:45.

run race (trail) 49:45 [3] 6.5 mi (7:39 / mi)

Who knows how long this leg really is, they say 7.5 miles but I know it's not that long. Time including bike-to-run transition was 51:53. My fastest run leg ever in this event (it wasn't hot this year), and fastest out of women who did the whole event—but only b/c Elaine Nelson busted her chin during the canoe, went to the ER, and thus didn't do the bike.

paddling race 3:00:00 [3]

Overall canoe leg time = 3:31, which I was quite pleased with. Fastest women's doubles time = 2:36 (pro boat, of course); Leah & Jeré were 3:14 (in a MN II like us). We swamped at a portage take-out when Di mistook swamp gook for solid ground, and L&J rescued an overturned solo paddler (who went on to take 2nd).
