Note

I'm really upset. Not sick once, but twice, in the space of just a few weeks. I'm meant to be doing serious training!! arrgh. This is really not going well. Hopefully I can get my fitness back in the 3 weeks (!!) I have left...

Anyway, I guess what is more important is to try and get well and keep healthy from now on. some people might say I have been trying to do too much and getting too stressed, which of course isn't good for the immune system.... No comment.

Sick :( No OY for me. I wasn't about to repeat the last sick OY experience I had. So I stayed at home and played catching features and sucked very badly at it, hahaha.

Decided to just rest today as there's no point training when I feel lousy and just prolonging the sickness... Hopefully I'm all good for the OY tomorrow though.

A pretty hazardous ride home with silly rugby fanatics running everywhere... they don't pay much attention to cyclists that's for sure. Still, I appreciated their enthusiasm :) even if I don't even like rugby myself.

Warm up for long hills, around the domain and down Ayr St.

Two long hills, along Shore Rd from the bottom of Ayr St, up Arney then up Mt Hobson on the windy path from the Remuera Rd side. Was going it go straight up the other side but it wouldn't have been long enough. Still wasn't long enough but 13 minutes is at least a start. I didn't feel great - I feel like I'm getting sick.... How can this be?? I've already been sick twice this winter already... arrgh. Horrible. I have that impressive sounding cough but luckily not much else. Hopefully it doesn't progress.

Anyway, I seem to have paced myself ok as both times took exactly 13 minutes.

Oh the other bad thing is that my left leg felt really gumby.... can't think of a better word for it. It wasn't sore but just felt awkward to move. Sort of like what has happened before. But my shoes are new :(

Street night event in Mt Albert, was ok, not much more to say really. Got 18 controls.

Life is really stressing me out at the moment. Where are my extra 4 hours per day.

Well I was meant to do a subthreshold run today... but minimal sleep and getting up at 5am meant I was too exhausted. But on a happier note, I have now finished my diet!!!! so ate whatever I liked today and it was amazing :) This can be my day off to celebrate.
