Orienteering 1:31:52 [4]7.69 km (11:57 / km) +380m 9:35 / km
Oak Mountain, Alabama. Route choice about avoiding the worst hills. Suzanne Armstrong caught me up at no 2, and although we kept using different route choices we kept seeing each other, all the way to no 14. Taping foot definitely working.

Red - Splits

Saturday Jan 15

Event: US Team Fundraiser 3-day

Orienteering 1:16:10 [4]5.53 km (13:46 / km) +375m 10:17 / km
Oak Mountain, Alabama. Cool and sunny. Lots of very steep hills. Taped left foot, seems to be working.
Orienteering (Line) 1:10:00 [2]4 km (17:30 / km)
Line and point to point precision orienteering excersise, organised by US team.

Red M - Splits

Wednesday Jan 12

Running 25:00 [4]2.9 mi (8:36 / mi)
Rice Loop - warm and humid. Strapped up foot as the podiatrist showed me. So far so good, but I've generally been OK with this distance of running. Alabama will be the real test.

Tuesday Jan 11

Note
Went to see a podiatrist about my left foot problems. He diagnosed me as having plantar fasciitis which is what I'd suspected, and he's given me streches to do, instructed me to ice my foot every night, and to tape it for running.
Contrary to my expectations he want's me to run to see how the taping helps. He is especially keen to see how much it helps at the A meet this weekend (and he even seems to know what orienteering is !).
