Running (Trail) 2:33:56 [3] 12.0 mi (12:49 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Asics (pair 2)
My longest run post surgery. In Huntsville State Park, Texas. Nice to run without snow for a change!

Was running with T-Rex (one of my old running groups in Houston) and managed to keep up with them for about the 1 hour 45 minutes. They all ran about 15 miles. Distance is approximate. We were running 8 minutes and walking 2.

Weather was typical SE Texas weather for Winter - ie cloudy and humid and about 15 degrees C.

46:15 - running
4:02 -- rest
63:03 - running (the end of this is where I stopped running with the rest of the group)
3:51 - rest
10:16 - running
0:25 - rest (as I caught the rest of the group up at a rest stop)
34:22 - running

Friday Dec 29

Note
Travel day: Denver-Houston.

Amazingly managed to get to Denver airport and out towards Houston with no major problems (only a bus getting stuck in the snow!). Plane was 2 hours late, but 1 hour of that was due to thunderstorms over Texas!

Thursday Dec 28

Stationary Byke 10:00 [2]
(injured)
Strength 30:00 [1]
(injured)
Usual physical therapy stuff.
Note
The next major snowfall has arrived in Colorado!

Tuesday Dec 26

Run/Walk 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Integrators pair 1
This was meant to be a run on Green Mountain. However, it soon became apparent that the snow conditions did not invite running - in fact it was pretty much a slog. The after effects of skiing yesterday didn't really help either. I think I managed about 4 miles in 1 1/2 hours, but I've only logged 1 hour as I don't think more than that is justified.

Fairly warm (10 degrees C?), and clear views.

Monday Dec 25

Skiing (cross country) 3:00:00 [2]
At Breckenridge. Good snow after the recent snowfalls, and fairly warm (ie close to freezing) if a bit windy. Did most of the blue and green trails at the bottom of the hill, some more than once. Only fell 3 times (all on blue trail downhills) - I'm not sure if this means that I'm actually starting to know what I'm doing yet, or just luck (plus good snow). The blue trails here seem about the same as the green ones at Eldora.

Only one wildlife sighting - a black squirrel that darted across the ski trail.

Sunday Dec 24

Note
Snowing again!
