Saturday Feb 10 | ||
| Running race 38:43 [5] 5.0 mi (7:45 / mi) vdot: 41.3 | ||
| (sick) shoes: Asics (pair 2) | ||
| My first post injury race (although I still have the tail end of the cold).
Park to Park Run between Minute Maid Park and Hermann Park in Houston. Cool (7 or 8 degrees C?), and a slight tail wind. Mile splits: 7:51, 7:44, 7:47, 7:48, 7:34 NB - looking at my log from last year, I was 38:10 in the same race, so it looks like I'm starting to get my fitness back.
Wednesday Feb 7 | ||
| Running 1:00:00 [4] 6.5 mi (9:13 / mi) | ||
| (sick) shoes: Asics (pair 2) | ||
| Good old Brayes Bayou route.
Difficult to make comparisons with previous runs on this route (all over 1.5 years ago) - how does recent training at altitude offset not that much training (due to my knee) and a cold? The time is an estimate anyway as I forgot my watch.

| (sick) | ||
| In Houston, where the weather is considerably warmer than Denver, so I've caught a cold! | ||
