Hiking (Scrambling) 8:00:00 [1] **
Long hike (actually more of a scramble) from 4th July trailhead above Nederland. Up to Diamond lake, up to the E ridge of Jasper Peak, and down to the Arapahoe pass trail. Too much snow to go up Jasper Peak from the East. Long periods of class 3 scrambling.

Got sunburnt, despite wearing factor 50(!).

Thursday Jun 21

Running (Trail) 57:34 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend
Run at O'Fallon park - between Morrison and Evergreen. Beautiful area. A bit too hot for running though.

Got a nice view of Mt Evans near the end, plus a sneek view of S Boulder Peak peering over some nearer summits.

Tuesday Jun 19

Running 24:30 [4]
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
1 loop clockwise round Washington Park with Andrew. Hot, and still tired from Saturday.
Running 13:03 [3]
Had a rest of about 3 minutes (to get some water), and then ran more slowly for about 13 minutes. Definitely suffering from the heat, and lack of energy.

Monday Jun 18

Cycling 51:39 [3] 11.56 mi (4:28 / mi)
Absolutely beautiful evening, so went for a quick ride round Bear Creek Lake Park. Went round clockwise, which meant I got the steep climb up Mt Carbon at the start, and a good fast ride (avg about 25 mph) along the road on the N side of the lake later with the wind behind me.

On the S side of the lake (going W on the bike path) the sun was a bit annoying - I kept hoping it was going to dissappear behind Mount Morrison, but it only did right at the far end of the park.
