Running (Trail) 1:28:38 [3] 8.03 mi (11:01 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend
Ho Chi Minh Trails in Memorial Park, Houston, TX. Did a long loop lasting 56:49 first (By the railroad S, Rollercoaster, by the Bayou backwards (ie E-W), Extreme, Blue (E side), Red. We were going to do Renegade, but couldn't cross the first creek. Then after a 10:38 rest (and restock on liquids!), did Yellow (long version), Purple to connect to Orange, back on Purple and then back by the railroad tracks.
Very humid, but some light rain later which cooled things down. Lots of mosquitoes. Had forgotten how miserable it can be to run in Houston in summer!
Note
Now run in 5 states in 11 days (CA, NV, CO, WY and TX). Hopefully the rate won't go up as fast from now on!!.
Note
Left IT band hurting after the run. It's been hurting a bit on and off since Reno (perhaps before). Presumably due to the strain it has been taking due to my right knee problems.

Tuesday Jul 10

Running 48:01 [4] 5.2 mi (9:13 / mi)
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
Usual 2 laps of Washington Park (clockwise). Feeling sluggish, so was surprised at my final time! Splits were 23:58 and 24:04.

Monday Jul 9

Note
(rest day)
Definitely in need of a rest day!

Sunday Jul 8

Hiking 6:00:00 [1] 12.0 mi (29:59 / mi) +900m 15:07 / km
Hike with CHAOS in Rocky Mountain National Park - from Bear Lake visiting 5 other lakes. Some people decided they would swim in every lake, and did in two or three. I went up to my ankles in one and decided it was far too cold.

It rained for about 5 minutes near the end - the first real rain I've seen in about a month!
