Orienteering race (Night) 1:58:20 [3]
shoes: Integrators pair 1
2 hour night score O at Frisco. The first time I've orienteered at night for a long time - so I was surprised how well I did. Got 210 out of a possible 300 points. It was also the first time I've been to Frisco when there hasn't been any snow (only done ski and snowshoe O here before). Lots of thunder and lightning, but fortunately only light rain (I was somewhat concerned as on Thursday the heavens opened quite dramatically about 15 minutes after I finished running!).

Thursday Jul 19

Running (Trail) 54:38 [3] 4.4 mi (12:25 / mi) +150m 6:59 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend
Elk Mountain open space. Not very fast, except at the end where I was trying to avoid getting struck by lightning!

Tuesday Jul 17

Running 50:53 [4] 5.2 mi (9:47 / mi)
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
Back in Denver. Even hotter than Houston, but a sensible level of humidity. Two laps of Washington Park - counter clockwise for a change - 24:11 and 26:42.
Left leg OK during running (only problems were very mild R knee, which I'm used to), but hurting afterwards. Fortunately now I'm home, icing it is much easier!
