Orienteering race 2:12:02 [4] *** 11.3 km (11:41 / km) +285m 10:23 / km
shoes: Integrators pair 1
Colorado 5 day - day 1 blue course. I pre ran, so got to run when it was cooler than most people. The terrain was mostly open prarie with several rocky slopes. Definitely a runners course (which I'm not - hence my slow time relative to everyone else). At one point I encountered a herd of cows, and sent them running after the person pre-running red.
Was joint tied for last place, but at least it gave me my first ranking points for 2.5 years (although I need more races to get into the rankings list!).

Blue Day 1 - Splits

Friday Aug 3

Event: 2007 USOF Convention and Colorado 5-Days

Tuesday Jul 31

Running 25:32 [3] 2.6 mi (9:49 / mi)
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
Temperatures in the mid 90's again. Only managed one lap round Washington Park (counter clockwise). Not feeling good by the end.
Running 4:30 [3]
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
Ran a bit more, after a 15 minute walking break!

Sunday Jul 29

Cycling 1:48:33 [3] 23.64 mi (4:35 / mi)
First bike ride for a bit. At one point I tried a new (to me) trail by Harvard Gulch which involved having to stop every 20s to cross a road! Hot.
