 | Running (Trail) 1:35:15 [3] | |
| (sick) shoes: Mizuno Wave Ascend |
| Traditional start to the Denver Trail Runners season (first run of Daylight Saving). As is tradition we did the Hogback - Matthew Winter's loop. Started early with Mark, Caroline and Jeff so we could do the longer route via the Morrison Side Trail.
Looking at my log from last time I did this run (in early October), I'm surprised that I was only 5 minutes slower this time. |

| Later this evening it rained - the first rain since November (all the precipitation in the meantime has been snow). Does this mean Winter is over in Denver? |

| Successfully entered the Pikes Peak ascent race again this year. |
 | Note | |
| (sick) |
| Yet another cold (but half the population of Denver seems to have this one). |
Tuesday Mar 11 |
 | Running 50:58 [3] 5.2 mi (9:47 / mi) | |
| shoes: Asics (pair 3) |
| Spring is in the air, and with it are allergies. Usual two laps of Washington Park - counter clockwise this week (we can do that now it's light, as we're not running into car lights). 24:48 and 26:10. I felt like it was a 4, but feel I can only really classify this as a 3. |
Sunday Mar 9 |
 | Skiing (cross country) 2:30:00 [3] | |

| Got to love Colorado - biking one day, skiing the next. Went to Eldora, where it was warm, and the snow was icy or sticky depending on where I was. Did a few new trails including the Antelope Loop trail - a classic only trail with a steep uphill, and then a long glide down through the trees. Also did my favorite Sawmill trail - had to break trail for it. There were rumors at the lodge of a moose in the vicinity of the Zarlango Loop but I didn't see it.
Route: For Pete's Sake - 17th Ave - Roller Coaster - Peterson's Return - Mill Iron - Sawmill - Deadman's Gulch - Zarlengo Loop - Antelope Loop - Jenny Creek Loop - Deadman's Gulch - Twin Twisted Tree - 17th Avenue. |
