Event: RMOC CU Boulder Score O

Orienteering race (University Campus) 57:44 [4] **
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
RMOC Score (clue) O at CU campus in Boulder. 58? controls scattered over campus (in fact questions to answer - not controls), and I went to 41 of them according to the splits on my watch. However, I'm looking forward to seeing the results spreadsheet, as I'm not 100% sure which ones I went to in the early part of the course!
Felt relatively good running, in contrast to how I felt on Thursday.
Course Setting 30:00 [1] ***
A few last map corrections at Cherry Creek. Saw two deer and a coyote (not together!), as I was leaving.

Friday Apr 11

Cycling 19:17 [2] 3.84 mi (5:00 / mi)
Commute

Thursday Apr 10

Cycling 19:55 [2] 3.73 mi (5:20 / mi)
To work - slower than usual on the way in because of the snow and wind.
Running (Road) 52:47 [3] 4.55 mi (11:35 / mi)
shoes: Asics (pair 3)
First chance to run for a few days, and had to resort to running on roads as the trails were too muddy after the morning's snow. Did two loops plus an out and back at Red Rocks. Got bad shin splints, and didn't feel like I had much energy anyway. Route
Note
I need new road running shoes!

Wednesday Apr 9

Cycling 20:06 [2] 3.92 mi (5:07 / mi)
Commute. Reached 28.5 mph on the way in. Drizzly on the way home.

Tuesday Apr 8

Cycling 20:29 [2] 3.93 mi (5:12 / mi)
Commute
Note
Tonight was the 1st lecture of the Colorado Mountain Club Wilderness Trekking School - a prerequisite if you want to go on their longer hikes. I found it a bit frustrating, although did pick up a few useful tips. Discovered that my compass isn't adequate for the class as it doesn't have a mirror (!) - and because all the markings have rubbed off. Come to think of it, it needs replacing anyway as it's developed a bubble, but not with one of the ones they were wanting us to use in the class!

Monday Apr 7

Cycling 19:16 [2] 3.79 mi (5:05 / mi)
Commute.
