Saturday May 10

Event: RMOC Buena Vista Night and Day

Orienteering race (Night Score) 1:58:45 [3] ****
shoes: Integrators pair 2
Night score O at Buena Vista. We actually started at dusk, which meant that for the first few controls it was actually harder to see where you were putting your feet than when it was completely dark.. I almost sprained my ankle leaving the first one I visited. Had problems with one control early on, and couldn't find one about 1 hour into my run, but otherwise had a good run (especially in the second hour), although I'm not sure my choice of controls was optimal. It was cold, but I soon warmed up when I started running, and even took of a layer after about 30 minutes.
