Amasa Trail Race - 25k. Got to experience the infamous Jackson's Ladder for the first time. Getting a bit warm towards the end. This route is the parts of the Behind the Rocks 50 mile that aren't in the 50k (minus an out and back road section connecting the two).
Results - was 3rd place male masters, and in fact I was overall first over 50!

Flying J Ranch. A bit convoluted route to get 11 miles in, but managed all the trails (official and otherwise), including some I didn't know about when I started the run. Felt a bit sluggish at the start, but got better later on (although my right calf wasn't always happy). Fun exploring the "trails" in the south west of the area (if I'd known in advance where they all went, I could have done them all much more efficiently!).
Sverre has made a base map of this area from LIDAR data - I think it would be a good orienteering area - pretty runnable, sufficient linear features around the parking for easy courses, plus I think sufficient features for advanced courses.
