Road run in the cold (21F). Good to get out after over a week off due to a nasty cold plus a tight lower back aggravated by Yowsa!!
AOWN: Spotted a mostly white northern cardinal visiting our bird feeder over the last few days. Wings, tail and crest have some red on them and the beak is orange but the rest is white. No black around the beak as there is in normally colored cardinals. I think the trait is called (partial)
leucism where there is no pigment in the feathers but the beak, eyes and legs are normally pigmented (as opposed to albinism where no pigment is present).
