Trail Run 32:39 [3] 2.86 mi (11:25 / mi) +120m 10:06 / mi
shoes: NB 809

Run on the trails in Freund Preserve, a small piece of Nature Conservancy land only 2.5 miles away. Covered all the trails twice and then some. It was the first time I've run here with the Forerunner, so I now have the trails "mapped". Two significant hills, one climbing about 100 feet in 0.1miles and the other climbing 110 feet in about 0.15m. Went up each one once, with a mix of running and walking. First time on trails since I sprained my ankle - no problems. 45F and sunny - cooler than yesterday but still nice.

Walking warm up/down (in the woods) 8:22 [1] 0.36 mi (23:15 / mi)
shoes: NB 809

Wandered around in the woods a bit as I cooled down.

Road Run 46:06 [3] 5.18 mi (8:54 / mi)
shoes: NB 878 - #6

T-shirt and shorts and I was overdressed. 66F and sunny at 11am. Took the shirt off for the last 2 miles. According to all the calendars I've checked, today is indeed January 6, not May 6. If there's an upside to climate change, then this must be it. Glad I don't own a ski area in the Northeast US. 66N, Albany Tpke, Howes, Pitts,Drown, Riders Mills Rd, 66S.

Road Run 32:11 [3] 3.64 mi (8:50 / mi)
shoes: NB 878 - #6

66N, Shaker Museum Rd. and back. Another non-winter day in January (40F). First run in the dark since I twisted the ankle. Carried a light but didn't need it because the moon was full. Both calves are sore - what's with that? Guess I should've taken the ramp-up approach coming back after 11 days off.

Road Run 28:35 [3] 3.33 mi (8:35 / mi)
shoes: NB 878 - #6

Just couldn't resist going out for a run since it was 46 degrees. Fog and mist, but quite comfortable running. 66N to Pitt Rd and back. Left calf a bit tight while running - probably more due to running two days in a row than the ankle injury. Probably should come up with some training goals for the year. Have run every day this year so far, but I don't thnk I'll make maintaining the streak one of my goals. :-)
