 | Orienteering race 22:36 [5]*** 2.51 km (9:00 / km) | |
| spiked:7/10c shoes: VJ Falcons |
| Sprint A at Crandalls. Very nice woods. Sunny and in the 70's. A bit sloppy with the compass on a couple of controls. Forerunner said I covered 3.13km. |
 | Orienteering race 24:53 [5]*** 2.62 km (9:30 / km) | |
| spiked:7/8c shoes: VJ Falcons |
| Sprint B at Crandalls. Made errors mid-route on three of the legs but was OK near the controls. Went to the cliffs south of 5 before getting it right. Another nice course. Measured 3.43km with the Forerunner. |
 | Orienteering race 53:41 [4]*** 4.44 km (12:05 / km) | |
| spiked:11/14c shoes: VJ Falcons |
| Green course at Crandalls. Started at a more moderate pace since I had already "sprinted" over 5km. Picked it up towards the end since I was visiting controls I had already been to on the sprints (but mostly from different directions). Very fine area up on top of the hill (controls 4 - 7) with lots of detail and open woods. Lost about 3 minutes on #3 which was in a non-field-checked area (so I should've been more deliberate than I was). Lost a minute or so each on #2 and #12 being overconfident since I'd already visited the sites (and had spiked #2 twice!). Missed splits towards the end since the Forerunner was full - I guess the message I was getting to delete old splits meant something (like the "check engine" light?). Forerunner measured 5.5km. |

| Cutting, splitting, and moving firewood. Some rare upper body and core work - if only I did this two or three times a week. Warm, but not as hot as last weekend. About 3 hours actual time. |

 | Road Run 35:33 [3]4.2 mi (8:28 / mi) | |
| shoes: NB878 - #7 |
| 66N, Pratt Rd (big hill), Bacchus, 66S. First road run in a while. Wimped out the last few days - was traveling and just didn't get up early to run in the morning even though the opportunity was there. |
