Event: Boulder Dash 2007

Orienteering race 1:10:02 [4]**** 4.78 km (14:39 / km) +75m 13:35 / km
spiked:10/13c shoes: VJ Falcons 2
Boulder Dash Day 1 on Nottingcook Forest map (Bow, NH). A less than stellar run but not bad on a relative basis (5th on Green X for the day). Technical courses set by Bob Lux on a challenging map. Visibility was generally not good . Lost about 8 minutes on #3 and another 3 on #8 plus several smaller errors due to sloppy execution - 15 - 16 minutes total.

Green X Day 1 - Splits

Friday Sep 28

Road Run 26:03 [3]2.96 mi (8:47 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7
A quick (short, not fast) run before heading off to NH for the Boulder Dash. 66N, Shaker Museum Road, Albany Tpke, 66S. About 65F and overcast.

Wednesday Sep 26

Road Run 36:03 [3]4.17 mi (8:38 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7
A relatively rare run at noon time so I can get at least one run in this week (due to work travel and meetings). Of course it was like a July day rather than September. 83F and sunny. Did the south loop - 66S, Richmond, Bashford, 32E.

Sunday Sep 23

Orienteering race 41:38 [5]*** 4.17 km (9:59 / km) +210m 7:59 / km
spiked:14/16c shoes: VJ Falcons 2
Leg 4 for 12pt teams at US Relay Champs (Osbornedale SP map). Very good run with about 30 seconds lost on each of #7 and #8. Started about 9 minutes behind the 3rd place HVO team and managed to catch them just before the spectator control to bring the EMPO team to the podium. Woohoo! A really fine course by PG with lots of rocks, lots of climb and plenty of variety.
