Orienteering race 1:40:25 [4] **** 5.07 km (19:48 / km) +110m 17:52 / km
spiked:12/16c shoes: VJ Falcons 2

Boulder Dash Day 2 at Nottingcook Forest. Well, this run makes yesterday's look outstanding. About 35 minutes of errors, mostly on #3 (12 min) and #4 (20min). Kept drifting off the compass bearing and losing contact. Spent lots of time on the large spur between 3 and 4 while looking for 4. Regrouped after finding 4 and had a decent run from there on in with only a few small misses. Managed to still place in M50 for two day total time (3rd, ~23 minutes behind Phil in second). 21st on Green X for the day, 12th overall on Green X for two day. Clearly a test of navigational accuracy rather than speed.

Orienteering race 1:10:02 [4] **** 4.78 km (14:39 / km) +75m 13:35 / km
spiked:10/13c shoes: VJ Falcons 2

Boulder Dash Day 1 on Nottingcook Forest map (Bow, NH). A less than stellar run but not bad on a relative basis (5th on Green X for the day). Technical courses set by Bob Lux on a challenging map. Visibility was generally not good . Lost about 8 minutes on #3 and another 3 on #8 plus several smaller errors due to sloppy execution - 15 - 16 minutes total.

Road Run 36:03 [3] 4.17 mi (8:39 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7

A relatively rare run at noon time so I can get at least one run in this week (due to work travel and meetings). Of course it was like a July day rather than September. 83F and sunny. Did the south loop - 66S, Richmond, Bashford, 32E.
