Trail Run (Snowshoe) 1:12:36 [3] * 5.34 mi (13:36 / mi)
shoes: NB 809

At Grafton Lakes SP. About a third on snowmobiled trails (where snowshoes weren't really needed), a third on trails well-packed by hikers and skiers, and a third on softer, deeper stuff. Walked quite a bit of the softer stuff. Also did some running without the snowshoes (entered separately). Had some hot spots on both heels which were very close to being blisters by the time I finished - need to HTFU the heels! Low 40's and mostly cloudy so the snow was soft and there were a few wet places.

Trail Run 19:20 [3] * 1.87 mi (10:20 / mi)
shoes: NB 809

At Grafton Lakes SP. Two sections of plowed road where I took the snowshoes off and carried them (total ~0.6mi) plus a loop on snowmobiled trails after I took the snowshoes off and left them at the car. Same shoes that I wore with the snowshoes but no rubbing issues without the snowshoes.

shoes: NB878 - #7

66N, Albany Tpke, back via Howes and Shaker Museum Rd. 36F, overcast.

Treadmill tempo 36:55 intensity: (18:00 @3) + (18:55 @4) 4.3 mi (8:35 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7

2.5mi @ 7:35 pace after 1 mile warm-up. A bit of excitement in the middle of the run when the treadmill suddenly displayed "Error 23" and stopped. When the Reset button didn't fix it, I moved to the next treadmill over and continued. Hope my "WTF!?" didn't offend anyone.

Snowshoe 38:44 [3] 2.48 mi (15:37 / mi)
shoes: NB 809

Three laps on snowshoes around the perimeter of the back yard. First loop was breaking trail. Snow depth ranged from about 4 to 8 inches - most of it from yesterday but a fresh inch or so today. Ran/jogged most of the time but walked on some of the uphills. 36F and cloudy.

Happy New Year and Happy O-Birthday (especially to those born in years ending in 3 or 8 (and in 1973 or earlier) who are now the youngsters in their new class).
