Trail Run 1:27:27 [3] 8.59 mi (10:11 / mi)
shoes: NB 809

Albany Pine Bush from Madison Avenue Extension. Trails mostly snow and ice covered with occasional "sand-mud", which had a quite different feel to it. I think the ground was still solid an inch or so below the mud so the ground was initially very soft and then solid - not easy to run on. Stayed on the marked trails in the preserve but also did a couple of miles on mtn bike paths which are not in the preserve (although it's not clear to me who owns that land, I just hope they don't develop it). Nice day, low 40's with a bit of sun.

Road Run 37:10 [3] 4.15 mi (8:57 / mi)

The "south block" clockwise. Richmond and Bashford roads were a mix of mud, ice and slush - a bit of HTFU training. The ice was the best surface to run on since it was (mostly) sanded. 35F and overcast.

Road Run 30:53 [3] 3.6 mi (8:35 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7

Rt 66N, Shaker Museum Rd and back. Quite dark - waning moon hadn't risen yet. Upper 20's. Forerunner wasn't working - low battery even tough I thought I had charged it after the last use.

Treadmill intervals 36:01 intensity: (24:01 @3) + (12:00 @5) 4.25 mi (8:28 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7

Intervals. 6 x 2:00 @ 7:03 pace with 1:30 recovery. Treadmill or icy roads in the dark - so hard to choose.

Road Run 26:46 [3] 3.08 mi (8:41 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #7

66S and back. 28F. A rare Monday run - dentist visit tomorrow will preclude running so I figured I'd better get it in today.
