Trail Run 1:02:22 [3] 6.49 mi (9:37 / mi)
shoes: NB 874

In Albany Pine Bush from Madison Ave Ext trailhead. Mostly sandy or pine-needle-covered trails with no rocks and occasional roots. In the 70's but fairly low humidity and mostly cloudy, so quite nice for running. They're doing "habitat restoration" in much of the area which involves chainsaws, bulldozers and other heavy duty equipment (they weren't working today fortunately). Some areas are cleared down to the sand, so it's a bit ugly in places. I think they're trying to remove all invasives and let the pitch pine and scrub oak vegetation get reestablished. Some trails have been significantly widened (to bulldozer width). After we finished running we saw a notice that many of the trails we ran on are closed until July 31. Oops. :-)

Road Run 30:04 [3] 3.31 mi (9:05 / mi)
shoes: NB878 - #9

66N and back. Went from dry to sprinkles to rain while I was out. A few rumbles of thunder, but from afar (compared to yesterday at this time when things were much more violent).
