Trail Run 1:17:12 [3] 6.24 mi (12:22 / mi) +200m 11:15 / mi
shoes: NB 874

From Olivia's Overlook south along the ridge of Stockbridge Mountain and back. Turned around at about 3 miles (and at a puddle in the trail which I didn't feel like navigating around). Trail is pretty gnarly after reaching the ridge with many ups and downs, much exposed (slippery when wet) rock and overgrown a bit in places. Had to stop a few times to figure out where the trail was (stay on the crest of the ridge always seemed to work). Sunny and about 80F and a bit cooler in the woods. Nice run with some nice views. Reached the high point on the ridge (1800' +) which I hadn't been to before (no view from there however, just a benchmark).

Hiking 30:00 [1] 1.4 mi (21:26 / mi)

A stroll at Steven's Glen (~ 1 mile from Olivia's Overlook) to see the cascade there. With the recent heavy rains we expected it to be worth the trip. Even more interesting than the cascade was a bridge on the trail crossing a smaller stream which had been covered with about 2.5 feet of rocks and gravel from the storms earlier in the week. The bridge was still standing even with all the weight on it and the stream now runs over the bridge and around either side. I think the best repair option will be to put a new bridge further upstream rather than try to dig this one out.

Trail Run 45:19 [3] 4.68 mi (9:41 / mi)
shoes: NB 874

At Hand Hollow (in the western part). Trails were wet and muddy in places, which wasn't surprising since we had about 6 inches of rain yesterday. One ankle deep puddle which I went around on the way out but slogged through on the way back. Sunny and a little less humid than it's been. Temp about 80.
