Orienteering race 47:34 [3] *** 5.25 km (9:04 / km)
spiked:13/13c shoes: NB 874

EMPO local event at Saratoga Spa SP. Sore and tired from the Highlander yesterday. Ran when I could but certainly didn't push the pace at all. Hit all the controls OK but a bit sloppy on execution for a few of them - not reading far enough ahead to execute accurately. Had a bit of trouble reading the map which has lots of yellow and the brown has a bit of reddish tint. Nice course set by a relative newcomer to the sport. Temps in the high 40's, but nice for running.

Orienteering 5:37:20 [3] *** 26.2 km (12:53 / km)
spiked:23/26c shoes: VJ Falcons 3 (yellow)

Hudson Highlander XIV - Surebridge and Silvermine maps with S/F at Tiorati Circle parking lot. 1st leg: O on Surebridge (6c, 6.7km, long route choice legs), 2nd leg: Trail run on Surebridge back to start (trail not streamered so a bit of map reading was needed, 6.5 km), 3rd leg: O on Surebridge (11c, 5.6km, shorter legs), 4th leg: O on Silvermine (7c, 6.8km, long legs with straightforward navigation). Very nice course on a nearly perfect day weatherwise.

More later.
