Snowshoe27:10 1.75 mi (15:32 / mi) shoes: Dion Snowshoes
Snowshoe around the backyard after rearranging the snow (mostly moving it from the driveway to somewhere not in the driveway). Ran two loops (0.77 mi each) and then walked a shorter loop. Light, fluffy snow with depth varying from about 2 to 10 inches, depending on where the wind pushed it. Breaking trail for first loop so second loop was about 30 sec faster. Still snowing with temps in the low teens and a breeze blowing. But, as PG noted, winter is almost over so better get in the snowshoeing while there's still the chance.

A nice wintery run: 17F with blowing snow and snow covered roads. Actually not as bad as it sounds. 66N and back. Wore trail shoes for improved traction.
Two hikes in local conservation areas. 1.1 miles in Siegel-Kline Kill Conservation Area and 2.75 miles at Ooms Conservation Area at Sutherland Pond. 1 - 2" of snow on the ground, covering some icy spots. One fall but no apparent lasting damage. Overcast with temps in the mid 30's. An easy start to the New Year.
Much more pleasant than yesterday with the temperature 15 degrees warmer and no wind. Hilly run - 66N, Pratt, Bacchus, Jefferson Hill, Albany Tpke, 66S.
Colder and windier than Laramie, WY today. A HTFU run after 5 days of eating and sitting. 66N, Albany Tpke and back. 10F, 25mph winds = -10F wind chill. Brrr.
