Orienteering 1:11:10 [4] *** 4.86 mi (14:39 / mi) +151m 13:21 / mi
spiked:9/12c shoes: VJ Falcons 4 (yellow)

Red course at Gay City. Nice course and event by Jim and Rich. Sloppy with attackpoints on 2 and 3 which cost a minute or so on each. Drifted quite a ways left on the way to 9 (went N of the big cliff just over halfway there), didn't correct enough and hit the knoll next to the trail north of the control. Saw the bag off to my right as I approached the knoll it was supposed to be on. Probably lost 2 - 3 minutes on that leg. Rest OK. Temperature in the 60's and not quite the "abundant" sunshine I had seen in one prediction.

Orienteering 39:00 [3] *** 2.42 mi (16:07 / mi) +145m 13:35 / mi
spiked:7/8c shoes: VJ Falcons 4 (yellow)

And then the Orange course unofficially at a bit more relaxed pace, just to spend more time in the woods.

Road Run 38:57 intensity: (30 @1) + (4:23 @2) + (20:30 @3) + (12:29 @4) + (1:05 @5) 4.25 mi (9:10 / mi) +90m 8:36 / mi

Squeezing a run in between thunderstorms. Rained some as I ran with rumbles of thunder in the distance, but nothing close. Would have preferred to run on trails but they were likely pretty wet, so stuck to the roads.

Legs still a little tired. And August has returned - dew point back up to 70F so very muggy.

Down the road and back to loosen the legs up a bit.
