Martin’s Creek Environmental Center, starting from the south end. Parking lot was empty when we arrived (shortly after 11:00) but encountered a few groups up near the northern end. Low 60s and mostly sunny.

Red course at Tyler SP with streamers set out by Sam K. 6.7k, 200m. Struggled with navigation in the vegetation, particularly in the area southwest of the creek (even though I’d been there before coming from the opposite direction). Of course it is thicker now than a couple weeks ago. Found streamers at most locations although it would have been considerably quicker with full-sized flags. Map is hard to read because it’s so busy, even at 1:7500. A really nice day, sunny and 60. Lots of others in the park, getting lax with social distancing.

Wandering about at the “Quakertown swamp” looking for birds and other wildlife. Paved roads, woods roads, some bushwhacking and railroad tracks. Discovered a heron rookery with 40-50 nests, although likely not all are active.
