South Mountain Preserve in Emmaus. Lot not plowed so parked on the road (Alpine St.) - not raelly an issue since there was only one other car there. Beautiful day, sunny and mid-40s. And lots of snow, making things pretty slow going. Breaking new trail for about 1/3 of the distance I covered. Snow was wet (good snowball making wet, not slushy wet) and I was sinking in 6-8 inches. Most of the broken trail was primarily from foot traffic so was soft and uneven. Jogged/ran in a few spots but most of this was just trudging along (hence the 24 min/mile pace). Saw two other people (and their dog).
Spent about 3 hours moving snow from places I didn't want it to be (in the driveway and on the roof). Driveway got cleared at about 3:30am today but needed significant additional touch-up. This felt like enough activity for the day, so snowshoeing will have to wait a bit longer, even though it was sunny and almost 40.

Driveway still not cleared, so ran roads from home. Had wanted to go somewhere to snowshoe on trails, but suspect that parking lots probably aren't cleared yet (and more trail will get broken the longer I wait). Snow will be around for a while. Saw one report that claimed we got 31".
It's been snowing (or sleeting) since I ran two days ago - currently at about 52 hours. Roughly 2 feet of snow of varying density - some drifting so it's tough to tell. Cleared a path to the road and mailbox but will likely have additional cleanup after the people I pay to move the snow eventually get here.
