Green course at Warwick. 5.3k, 140m. About 60F with some drizzle and light rain. Leaves not quite out yet so visibility was excellent, with many flags visible before even getting inside the circle. Had a pretty clean run - a few deviations from my intended routes but adjusted OK.

Green Lane Park, starting at the middle parking area along Knight Rd. and finishing at the Hemlock parking area, where Janet had left the car. Squiggled around in the two sections NE of Knight Rd. then took the Red trail to the car. Overcast and about 60F. Some soft areas but any real mud was avoidable (in part due to two recently installed boardwalks).

Red course on Surebridge, part of the HVO/WCOC Winter Series. 6.1 km straight line. I counted about 320m of climb. The map is still excellent (contours and rock don't change much in just 30 years) but there is more vegetation now, mostly blueberry (some waist to chest high). Upper 60s and sunny, so a very nice day to be in the woods.

The course was pretty physical, with lots of climb and constant rock, deadfall or vegetation under foot. Maintained map contact well, stopping often to match map and terrain features. Missed on three controls: several minutes on 8 misreading mountain laurel and venturing into a pretty wet marsh until I figured things out; a couple minutes on 9 when my brain decided we'd navigate to a reentrant at the edge of the circle rather than the one in the center (pretty much spiked the one at the edge but there was no flag there); and another couple minutes on 12 misreading contour features in some thicker vegetation. An enjoyable day in the woods. Thanks to Jordan for setting up the courses.

Walking 11:17 intensity: (6:26 @0) + (2:43 @1) + (46 @2) + (1:22 @3) 0.93 km (12:06 / km) +5m 11:49 / km

On roads around the neighborhood(s). Sunny, 70, low humidity.

Pretty sure that my heart rate didn't hit 200, so switched the intensity to all level 2 and 3.
