Note

so, barely walked on foot on tuesday. wed morning, going to doctor's there was almost no pain - he had to get me to jump up and down to localise it - fourth metacarpal or whatever. injected anti-inflammatories and said not to run on it for four days and be gentle afterwards for a week.

by yesterday evening it was quite sore again, having walked rer-470-cesfo-470-rer (less than an hour total all day, i reckon). today it was a bit sore this morning... eased up a bit now but nowhere near cured.

orienteering race 1:08:20 [4] ****
26c

Tour Denecourt
Depqrtementqle rqce...
beautiful day, 6-8 inches of snow on the ground, sun in the sky, temperature above freezing, really nice to race in, if a little cold afterwards... course was surprisingly interesting with some difficult map-reading (perhaps more to do with eyesight than actual technical difficulty), route choice and da like.

caught the 2 mins on AC at the 12th control, not that i had been running particularly well up until that point. mistakes at 1,2, 7 especially.

lovely race. FV won unsurprisingly in 62 having made a couple of minutes of errors.

foot quite sore this afternoon. definitely calling doctor asap.

forest run 30:21 [2] *

warm up (5 mins) followed by 25 with anthony in the snow, on and off (only a little) trail. really nice, perhaps shouldn't have done it - wasn't aware of the foot trouble, lthough most of the damage was done racing i reckon
