Still tired today despite the day off yesterday. Hopefully a couple of easy days and I'll be feeling better. Need to sleep better though. Last night had 4-4.5 hours solid, then another 5 and a bit hours of broken sleep. Going to get myself sorted, though. Trying twice-daily steroidal spray for the next few days to see if that helps. Then going to book some food intolerance tests, eventually.

Note

200 controls and 8 hours of o in 4 days seems a much better way to have spent a weekend than running the JK, especially since I got my 15km time trial the week before.

Home! Alive? Need sleep, anyway.

Did I just overdose? I feel ugh and need to change something. I have decided to make work a priority. I will continue to run to and from work each day, but no more orienteering until I publish at least three articles, with an exception for Jukola if any team will have me.

Needless to say, I'll be taking a break from attackpoint too.

I miss you.

Well, that didn't last long. I wasn't being productive at maths, so went to
Iltarastit sprint in Oulunkylä instead.

splits. If I come second to Eikka every time I race in Finland I wouldn't be racing very much.

There is still a bunch of ice, but not much snow on the paths to cushion, so I went with trail shoes instead of o-shoes, knees being more important than seconds.

Got two route choices wrong, plus maybe one or two 49-51s.

A jog on the local sprint map before breakfast. Yeah, 6.40. Right heel feeling the effects.

Fairly wrecked on the bus ride to Sthlm, dozed the first half, then got a little maths done. And wrecked now on the boat. Bed is calling.

Note

Our bus driver for this weekend's training camp is cool. Not only is he the cook's son, he mapped the president's summer palace near Turku (at some point the president's husband was inviting his former Jukola teammates for private competitions).

Shane and I camped outside the gates in 2001.
