Registering I met Francois G. On the way to the start I met Anders R, whose teaching in Cornell is being covered by Eric Smith. After the finish I saw some Swiss guy who was at the wedding a few weeks ago. And on the way back down to Geneva I saw Mont Blanc.

At the bank yesterday I filled out a personality questionnaire. The only box I marked 'oui, tout a fait' was "Je suis quelqu'un de chanceux".

I certainly felt that way today.

To the start, from the finish, plus a jog with Marc through the fields, beautiful.

Berni from CERN O kindly gave me a lift. Snow on the hilltops and on the shaded open areas, but pleasantly warm in the sun.

Stony limestone deciduous forest, beautiful out. I managed to run ok apart from three mistakes, one reasonable, one brain fart (tried leaving 11 at 10), and one proper mistake at 16, not quite sure enough of where I was in the complicated area, and a ruined stone wall wasn't quite obvious.

Temps du vainquer was 60 minutes, so that might be me, but Marc would have been a whole lot faster. -- sub 41!
