Le Planey - Mont Joly - Aiguille Croche - La Colombaz - Le Planey
Out for 6h42, long enough to turn a little pink this glorious November day.
Met up with a few ultra-runner people to go for a run/hike. They weren't half as hard-core as they sound. We walked up Mont Joly, 1300m climb, 2525m.asl, stopping for bites a couple of times. Views from the top were rather spectacular.
We then trotted along the above ridge (mostly not hairy) to the end, Aiguille Croche. From the other end it looked a bit like -
L'Aiguille Croche stuck up a fair bit. We didn't go further south.
It was pretty sweet having Mt Blanc off to our side the whole time.
Then we started the unending descent.
Halfway down the second telesiege, we traversed, heading north along a lovely small trail, then descended to la Colombaz. From there to Baptieu, then along roads a little almost to La Chapelle, then up a trail again past Revennaz and back to the car.
I suspect Geneva was under the stratus (cloud) all day. Ha.
