Saturday Jun 18

Event: Jukola/Venla relay

Race race (Orienteering) 1:22:59 [4] **** 7.6 km (10:55 / km) +240m 9:26 / km
spiked:8/16c
2005 Jukola, leg 4, course 211.

After a horrible start, I managed to focus and get less distracted by the other runners. At that point, I started being followed by others instead, which gave some confidence. A few more errors in the last half of the course, but nothing as devastating as #2. Managed to gain a few spots in the stadium sprint also.
Endurance (low intensity) warm up/down (Running) 25:00 [2]

Model event map. Ran at 4am Saturday morning local time, but logging as Friday.

Deceptively easy navigation compared to actual race, probably also because I was running pretty slow. I ran faster on control 9 and 10.
