2016 Moral Trail race. Threepeat victory. Raining hard all day. Ground was soaked and slippery, which was naturally perfect for orienteers. I took the lead from the start and never let up. 2nd place was seven minutes behind me. But, more importantly, I was a minute ahead of my best time.

A sad day for the Moral Trail race.

Halfway through this vertical race, there was a guy directing people to continue straight although the streamers went to the left.

I mentioned this to him.
Me, "Hey! The streamers go that way. Why are people going straight here?!?"

Him, "Just keep going straight."

Me, (Well, I suppose there's a reason they don't want us to go that way. Maybe the trail is no good now.)

I went down to where I knew the finish was (where it's been every year), and I told the guys there what had happened and that there were loads of people wandering around lost. They were about as happy as I was. I feel bad for the organizers. They worked hard to organize a good race in really crappy conditions, and one guy who didn't know the course screwed them over.

At least I got a good hill workout. I was also ahead of my best time by 30 seconds before he sent us the wrong way. Good steps.

A mix of orienteering and track intervals. 8x200 meters on the track directly followed by a 300 meter microsprint in and around the tennis and basketball courts. Different courses each time. Between 2:00 and 2:35 for each interval.
