I had hoped to do this 5k test today, but today wasn't the day.

Kept going with Pau until 2,600m and when I saw that we had slowed to more than 16 minute pace and that I was not feeling good, I decided that I had my test results and stopped.

I then did 2x800 with a one minute break. One time I paced Andreu and another Pau in 2:19 and 2:32.

Walking away from this test a little bitter, but I can't force something that wasn't there today. It's coming.

So, my friend Luis Nog needed a pacer for his time trial since no one else was doing theirs in the evening. I figured I'd go through 2.5k and then stop, but I got there and decided to continue. Also had to change a lot of my internal dialogue from where it was at this morning. Not a great time, but I'll take it for now.

The courses on 2drerun are a little different from what we actually ran,

My foot still isn't at the point that I could run quickly on it in this rough terrain. So I just decided to maintain a decent pace and try to execute everything well in terms of navigation. After looking around for one that I felt was in the wrong place (#10, #12 on 2dRerun), I decided to move on. The GPS track has me passing through where the others went, but I didn't see it.

Who knows? I just decided to continue on as if it were a training run. Looking forward to when my foot doesn't limit me anymore.

Same loop as yesterday but this time I did the 3x2k fartlek. I couldn't really push too hard on the downhills, the foot wasn't appreciating the impact.

Training in Canto del Pico

Didn't see the streamer at #2, but it looks like I found the feature. Quite a few rocks in that area. Tough to read. Best to look for stronger references.

This is not a fast map to begin with, but I went quite a bit slower to see how my foot handled it. It made itself known throughout the course. I was still able to do it and didn't have too much pain afterwards. Progress.

It did limit me in my route choice to #8. If it were fully healed I would have been more aggressive by attacking it closer to the line, but the trail looked lik a pleasant option today.
