Orienteering 1:24:59 intensity: (1:11:00 @3) + (10:00 @4) + (3:59 @5) 10.39 km (8:11 / km) +420m 6:48 / km

Borrowed this training idea from Timo.

It's approximately an hour of easy to moderate paced orienteering (60-75% of max effort) followed by a 10-15 minute sprint (75-100%).

I liked this one and will definitely incorporate into my training catalog. A big thing since I've been back is that I don't do enough fast orienteering. I noticed this most when I was in Portugal doing intervals with others last February. This is a good way to include faster training while not going overboard with the effort and also giving myself time to get into the map.

Social run with the Wanderers

As part of my breaks between work, I made a new map of Delaware State Forest land in the Poconos. The only difficult part of this one is figuring out where to park.

Note

Newest map on state forest land in the Poconos. The problem with state forest land is that it can be logged, which after one growing season in PA is essentially a block of impassable land. But I recently found a very useful map (for hunters) that shows where logging has been done, in addition to a number of other very interesting map layers. Here it is: http://www.hunting.pa.gov/bof/huntmap/index.html

And as for my map, here's a middle I set on what I've made so far: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LfmT6ArNZ-AUlq51...

I'm sure there's lots I need to change on this map. But I suppose the nice part is that I can continually update this as I see fit. Currently learning loads about that process.

Running 1:05:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:55 / km) +300m 5:12 / km
