Four loops of Mount Tammany. Really stoked to be able to do this. Some really slippery snow in certain parts which slowed things down.

Steve joined me for loops 2 and 3 which kept the pace up and made it a lot more fun. Beautiful views and great weather!

Doing some scouting on a base map that Petr had made of an area between Stroudsburg and Bethlehem.

I won't say too much because I hope DVOA will use it for a future national event. Spectacular. I'd say it's similar to Hickory Run, but with more diffuse contours, consequently making it more technically challenging. I was using a map with 1.25m contours and I struggled to keep track of everything.

With the leaves out this would be an extremely challenging area.

First completely pain-free intervals in several years. I had a bit of discomfort in my Achilles last week, but that seems to be mostly due to me getting out of my strengthening routine. This past week has gotten me back on track.

Legs were still a bit heavy from the weekend. No surprise there. It was a lot of intense activity.

Kept it short since I'm just getting back to it. 3x1k on 3 minute recovery. Did it on the Yetter Park trails. Perfect loop for this, gravel with several 1-3m climbs. Enough forest to block the wind.

Very grateful that the US community felt that I deserved Orienteer of the Year.

Everyone's support helps me every day to get out the door and give whatever training I have scheduled my best shot.

Thank you and let's get ready for an exciting 2019!

Spring is just around the corner! But not on the north face of Godfrey's Ridge it ain't. It would have been helpful to have the snowshoes for this run. Really slow going.

It's good to know that area is a few degrees cooler though. It'll be good for those way too hot days.
