Not much time for extra training this week because of an important exam tomorrow. But I did get to have a fun run with Ben and his dog Finn on the trails out here. I think this is the first time I ever saw Finn get tired.

For any app developers out there:

I think NorAm is on the cusp of a big leap forward in terms of accessibility and growth of the sport thanks to programs like Karttapullautin, O-Range, UsynligO, MapRun, etc.

I think the next step to really set things off would be an app that could host a live GPS view of training sessions or races. What would an app like that need?

6x2 minutes at 5k effort on one minute rest, first three on the trail loop, last three on asphalt. It felt surprisingly easy. Felt like I was ready to double the workout but won't because Achilles. The GPS always gets screwy in the hemlocks around the lake. Oh well.

Tried to replace the battery in my HR strap, but one of the screws was stripped. So I couldn't close it completely. Now it looks like it's faulty. New one ordered.
