Running 51:55 [3] 9.7 km (5:21 / km)

SEASON OPENER

first outdoor run of the season... spring has come and as the sun comes out and temperatures rise, I decided to go for a little run to Au in order to check on my running shape... didn't know what to expect, cause so far I had only been running on a treadmill... conditions were good though, and I also liked my speed and overall performance

looking back, when I took up running 3 years ago, my season opening run was aweful... I remember getting exhausted from a 3k run with the running speed at around 7 mins per km... last year's season opener was a 10k run @ 6 mins per km... this year I'm even faster, so I'm kinda anxious to see what improvements I can make throughout the spring

Gym 1:30:00 [3]

1. warm up... 5 mins of slow running (treadmill)

2. cardio... wanted to work on my running speed, so i decided to do a shorter, yet faster, run today (treadmill)... did a 5k in 24 mins (km speed @ 4:48)... still not great, but way better than this time around last year :)

3. cool down... 5 mins of slow running (treadmill)

4. usual balance routine... 760 points, level 3

5. cycling (ergometer)... 25 mins mountain stage... that was pretty intense, given the run i had done before... had to fight towards the end, but i did it!

Gym 1:00:00 [3]

warm-up: balance disk training... funny enough, whenever i do two sets, the second one is always better than the first... scored about 800 points (lvl 3) today

cardio: 45 mins running on a treadmill... in those 45 minutes i put up 8 kilometers, which results in an average split time of roughly 5:36 per kilometer... that's pretty bad, but as i am not really used to running on a treadmill, i can live with it... i expect myself to be faster once it gets warm enough to run outside again

cool-down: 5 mins of slow running
