Orienteering 6:54 [5] 1.6 km (4:19 / km)
shoes: New Balence 782

We went to Brereton heath CP to walk the dog at a different place. so i got 2 of my old maps from there and did the course, only a 1.6km yellow and a 2.5km orange. good trianing thought. i think they were one of my first ten races. it good though because i was doing quick minutes per a KM so i know i can do it at the JK sprint and the rest of JK.

Orienteering race 21:15 [5] ** 3.0 km (7:05 / km) +40m 6:38 / km
spiked:12/12c shoes: New Balence 840

MDOC Orienteering at woodbank park. prologue.had a good race and did not lose any time on route choice, which makes me happy for JK!!!!
#1: across the grass and took the lower path into control.
#2: followed the path and into gully and straight out.
#3: along path and cut once i saw the small path, into pit.
#4: straight out of woods and cut along the grass to the trees counor, and down to crag.
#5: along path and saw bridge before fence so new were i was and saw fence 1 metre later and into control.
#6: up big path and along little path and cut in and up and over the spurs and rentrets. until i saw the big one with the control.
#7: slid all the way down the bacnk on my bum(probally the quickest way). half way down i saw this guy about 2 years olderthan me and was doing Oing but way smashing this den made out of wood to get a pice of wood to snowboard down on!!! and just followed path to the fence conour.
#8: followed path and saw open srea and control.
#9: south of pond and up path and into thicket.
#10: the control was on top of a bridge and 2 people in front of me both went under neaf and i went on top and bet them to control and stayed ahead of them for the rest of the course.
#11:along park road, path and along mini path to control.
#12: round fence and to thicket, and to finish then.
beat alex by 1.03 and tom horton.

Orienteering race 30:47 [5] *** 2.6 km (11:50 / km) +100m 9:56 / km
spiked:8/11c shoes: New Balence 840

Chasing sprint at woodbank park. chase. alex beat me on that course but i win over all by 5 seconds(very close). lost about a 7 minutes in mistakes(2 controls in wrong place). only 2 thought map reading,
#1: straight and fight throw dark green on map. control was hidden and flag was nearky fell over.
#2: up path and should have cut in up bank but was not switched on and up path to grass and ran wrong way and turned round looked at map and saw control.
#3: slide down bank and into control. but it was in the wrong place. found it in the end with tom but alex ran of and carried on.
#4: straight to fence and control.
#5: along path for a sec and cut in and along field in to wood and control.
#6: up path.
#7: cut up hill where it was dark green and along path to fence.
#8: slide down bank and along high path, and was looking for control on other side of path. lost 1 minute. but relocted good by fence near river.
#9: up bank and saw alex. and sprint the rest of the course to catch him.
#10: up to path and saw him a little nearer to me again and along path to control.
#11: took the rout longer by a couple of metres round the fence, but at this point the only thing i was focused on was catching alex. ran round fence, over took alex and stayed ahead of him on the run in.
